Thats some good news at least But I have no idea what the company has screwed up on, or how to get them to pay. Maybe threaten them with getting a lawyer? When one hears about all the whacky lawsuits in the US, it should be no problem getting the money back if its really their fault, right?

Consult a lawyer if normal pressure isn't working.

My suggestion would be to write a certified letter, telling them that through there actions they damaged your pc back that up with copies of any computer repair estimate or reports. Tell them that you've tried several times to contact them and waited more than enough time without hearing back from them and now your considering taking legal action. *pats your back* I hope you get this resolved soon

I second Acroth's suggestion. Do it in a calm rational manner, then give them a week to reply (bureaucracies always work slowly when it's THEM that owes YOU money) then you might consider getting in contact with the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint.

The BBB can also put you in touch with whatever law firms that they use and/or give you the telephone number of your state's Attorney General.

And if none of that gets you any results then there is always writing a letter to your local newspaper. Sometimes newspapers like to go after obnoxious companies -- and who is more obnoxious than a cable company? :)
