STEP ONE
# Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your FA, LJ, whatever. The post should contain your list of ten holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV"). The important thing is to make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
# If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) can get in touch with you. Your home address is not required!
# Make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
STEP TWO
# Surf around your friends list (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now, here's the important part...
# If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes one person's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use - or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free - do it.
# You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf - to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call. There are no guarantees with this project, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give and you might receive. You'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Now I got this from
cyiakanami and I thought I'd give it a try this holiday as well. So spread the cheer and make your own as well and see if we can't spread some awesome gift giving love to all of FA :)
I don't expect anything off my list to be given to me. At all. If you honestly feel like giving me something I would be really greatfull and I would find something of equal meaning to give back :>
1. Some art books to learn from
2. Some extra money to be able to give my parents. Jon had surgery and as such they have no money because jon has been out of a job.
3. I would love for lots of love and happy holidays to be said all over FA. and that my friends know that they can come to me for anything and that I will always be here for them no matter what
4. a new sketch book and tracing paper<- I use this to do my very rough sketches since i have a really heavy hand and then transfer that rough sketch to my sketch book to be cleaned up
5. 3D art suplies, taking 3D design media has made me come to love making 3D art with my hands like scuptures and other such things
if your feeling really nice and want to send me something the feel free to PM me for info. As afore mentioned I really dont expect anything I just want to spread this gift giving and wellness over FA.
And last but not least:
6. Please pass this on in your journal. I love giving gifts rather than receiving. So please pass this on and share the warmth around FA :)
