hun i hate to be a party pooper but a fully reticulated python could easily eat a human. if they can eat antelope with horns that are nearly 2ft long then they can make light work of a kid. itsbeen on teh news a lot over here in the uk and ive witnessed a python eating an ungulate. plus ive owned 5 snakes in the past lol if you look around im sure you can find some reliable information showing you the extremes of what some snakes can eat. i remember one news story that came with video footage of a python that had escaped its enclosure in a zoo getting into i think it was a tapir enclosure and it ate the animal whole and without fully constricting it and after changing his mind he regurgitated the animal whole and alive!

i understand, and the good news for all who are worried about snakes eating people its very very very rare that one will get to a size where they can eat an adult. and even on the child cases there extremely few and far between. even the ones that would be big enough to nom a human tend to avoid people at all costs, the troublesome ones tend to be pets that havent been managed very well and have escaped. wild ones are usually too scared of people to go near them. i hope that helps calm anyone down who is afraid of snakes. i used to work at a few pet shops and one of my jobs to was help people who are scared of snakes get over their phobias
