I think I've posted this before in earlier journals, but if you need aid in finding a place, I highly, highly recommend hopping on the Anthrochat IRC network and joining the #floridafurs channel. You can even access just by going to mibbit.com

There's dozens of us, particularly in the Tampa/Orlando area. It's a great resource body if you need any info or friends in the area. As for finding a local place, I either recommend finding an apartment in either Gibsonton or Brandon, or talking to a number of local real estate agents. With the downturn in the economy, a lot of people are renting their houses. it's terribly easy to pick up a fully furnished suburban mini-mansion for only slightly more than a standard 1/1 apartment.
