You know, I was talking to my little sister, popcornbunny earlier, about animals and such, because were freaks. But anyways, we came to the topic of animals that have died, and going to heaven. And even though I don't have a religion, she's christian, not that that has much to do with animals going to heaven. She said that the youth pastor, told her that animals had no souls, so they couldn't go to heaven. That statement, made me both sad and angry. One, you don't tell a kid that your freaking pet dies and thats all, you lie and tell them they do, duh. Thats just how it works. Also, this guy doesn't know for a fact that animals don't have souls. What the fuck man. Animals have more souls than people do. But anyways, I told my sister my point of view. I said, that animals have more soul than people, and they are like, good no matter what. Because, animals cant be evil, they cant think like that, right? They don't have the choice to murder a man with a gun, or whatever. They cant intentionally be bad. So, I don't know really, what do you think? I'd like to hear your side of it. :3
I believe in the poem 'Rainbow bridge'. That pets especially, on this side of heaven, have this little bit of heaven that's all their own, and when we pass over, we'll walk over the rainbow bridge, and meet our friends again.
"There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth, It is called the Rainbow bridge, because of it's many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys, all covered with lush green grass. When a beloved pet dies, they go to this place. There is always food, water, and warm spring weather. Those old frail animals, are young again. Those who have been maimed, are whole again. They play all day with each other, but there is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person, who loved them on earth. So, each day, they run and play, until the day comes, when one stops playing, and looks up, their nose twitches, the ears are up, their eyes are staring, and this one suddenly runs from the group.
YOU have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, You take them into your arms, and embrace. Your face is kissed, again and again, and once more you look into the eyes of your trusting pet. Then, you cross the rainbow bridge together, never again to be separated.
Until we meet again...."
