Snow

OK, I like snow. It looks pretty when it falls, I like looking out my window and seeing this great white blanket over everything, and I don't even mind the cold. But the one thing I am annoyed with is how it seems to have the people at my Uni running around like idiots.
Twice this week I've walked to Uni through the snow, dodging the snow balls of a few random people on the street, only to find that my lecture is cancelled. Now, I did check the uni website, and my emails for any bullitens before hand, but some how, the geniuses running this snow watch thought it a good idea to send these notices out at the last possible minute!
Take tonight for example, they'd already said that some lectures had been cancelled, I called in to see if mine was still going, they said yes. I still checked the website and my emails, but upon arriving, I found out the university was going to be closing at 5pm. And to make matters even more annoying, they'd sent the email out 5 bloody minutes after I'd left! Honestly, why wait so long? They announce they're closing the university just over an hour beforehand? What the hell?!
*Takes a breath* And now that's out of the way *Flicks my fingers at all of you, bathing you in a purple light and making you all grow bigger and buffer at your computers*

I am amused when people don't know how to handle snow. It just seems like such a natural weather phenomenon for me that I expect nothing to ever shut down because of snow. And indeed, growing up, nothing ever was canceled because of snow. Have you ever tried going to school in blizzard? Oh man, it is good times.
First rule of a blizzard: take the first bus you see that goes anywhere near where you are trying to go. Because you will never see another bus after that one.
Sorry to hear that Greg! That's just weird.
But, yeah...that can suck. My Music History professor once told us of how, when studying at Eastman, he had trudged through 3 foot snow for 40 minutes to get to a mid-term, only to find that the blizzard had caused classes to be cancelled and the mid-terms to be postponed. Of course, this was back in the 60s, long before email and whatnot. Still, he found that the only other person in the building was the janitor.
And that does sound rough, but you'd have thought with all these modern inventions like email, the uni could actually use them -_-
*murrs as he continues to flex-swell, his muscles bulging up insanely huge and powerful*
