THIS IS A RANT: Okay, I don't want to upset anyone, but this is something I have stated TIME and TIME AGAIN.
I am not Christian.
I have never BEEN Christian.
I will never BE Christian.
Stop Emailing me Christian Stuff. PLEASE.
Why???? I'm surprised you asked!
1.) The Bible was written two thousand years ago (the orginial one.) It wasn't even written by God. It was written by a bunch of blokes who wanted to tell everyone else what to do. Not that they were wrong about everything, but there were things that were definately WRONG. It's out of date, if nothing less.
2.) The Bible requires interpretation. Interpretion is too easily marred by bias and personal opinion. (Take the arguments over the different versions of the Bible.)
3.) If some guy walks around claiming God has spoken to him... he is not revered and respected... he's thrown in the looney bin. Again, BIBLE=OUTDATED.
4.) I do not, ever ever ever ever ever ever want to ever be associated with the Mainstream Right Wing Radical Christians. EVER. They're all wonky, nutters, crazy in the cocoanut.
5.) I'm tired of having shit crammed in my face.
6.) I am a long time self-proclaimed chainletter breaker.
I understand that to YOU it may be inspiring and it might make YOU happy if YOU recieved it. To ME, recieving this stuff is insulting and just goes to show how much you don't know or respect me.

I never get those.
I'm fine with every religion and tolerate their beliefs (now matter how illogical some are), but when they try to persuade people and harass them with their things, while you don't want that. Then they crossed a line in my opinion and should step back.
One shouldnt force their beliefs onto others if they've chosen not to follow it.
But I guess..email anonymity and all that. Crap will probably never end :p
They know me well enough that they know I don't like this. This is just a *ahem* friendly and anonymous reminder, to avoid publicly humilating said friends. :)
There is also a lot of christians that don't realize that there are a few stories that are told twice in there and quite differently. There are two different Noah's ark stories, but one can tell the most popular verson won out.

I live at home with my mom who is a pentacostal episcapalian who doesn't know that I'm a witch, either that or she's pretending to not know.

And just for the record i don't dislike all christens just the ones that feel its ok for them to push their religion on others. Same with all religions though, its not so much the groups beliefs that give them their bad name, its how had they push and how often they push, or at least thats my opinion.

You have every right to believe in what you feel is best for you... religion is about your relationship with God. Nobody else should mess with it.
Hence my rant above. When people tell me how they think I should feel/believe/worship they are interfering with MY relationship with God.

Thanks for being so understanding. I have no qualms with Christianity... I do have qualms with people who use religion as a reason to kill and hate.

I agree with you; it's outdated and ridiculous. And your statement about the man not being revered and all made me crack up IRL. x3
