Ouch. From skiing I know a lot of people who surgery on them from repeated breaks. They hurt from sitting for long of a period. Did they do a graft to at least try to regrow some of the skin?

maybe thats y i got it lol i sit alot. plus it was in my family so thats also prolly y. no they just closed it shut and let it grow back.

I do know the feeling of bones and cold weather.

At age 10 I had major surgery on both legs; to fix a problem which had me walking pigeon toed. It was a bad condition ... the only way to correct it was to have the thigh bone cut, my whole leg rotated out to a normal walking gate, then pin the bone back together.

Each bone, to this day, has one stainless steel plate attached to it, with 4 pins each (it's fun to go through really powerful metal detectors, let me tell you).

For the first few years, when the weather started turning cold I had leg pain... No more, thank goodness, but I did have a similar issue.

It's a pain, true, but it will pass with time.
