OhShit, Snow and Power outages

Warning, this post may contain boring information, swear words, and dumb opinions.
After a rather brief conversation with
tannerwolfton about how much the snow sucked on the ustream last night, and how bad it was in Minnesota, I went to a barn party in a blizzard. It's only down the road from where I live, so it's nothing too bad. My mother was driving, so I guess I was a little worried, but after my dad went in the ditch, she actually decided to drive slow. I only stayed there for a little bit, because I had this terrible cold and loud christmas music sang kareoke (however the hell you spell it) wasn't my cup of tea at the moment.
So I went home, and the TV wasn't working. Big deal, I hardly watch TV anyway. The internet didn't work, so I just decided I would draw. After about fifteen minutes of drawing, the power goes out. Not only for us, but my mother called home and apparently the power went out for the 30 some people in the barn, too. This isn't even half of the delema, let me tell you.
My parents came home, but of course with no electricity how are they going to park the car in the garage? And the snow plow comes down our driveway, so rather than parking infront of the garage, she parks it somewhere else and gets it stuck. Well, I don't blame her, it was common sense and my dad didn't even tell her what he was going to do, just told her to park here and walked away. After another fifteen minutes of "god damn mother fucker" being shouted, and the car's tires most likely being burnt away, the car was parked halfway to the garage. We got the skidsteer and be rid of most of the snow, then we could drive the car in there more easily. I stood in the garage and watched this whole time so I could hold onto my dog Buddy. Knowing him, he'd probably tralala on out there and get squished by something, even though he is a newfoundland mix.
Yup, then we got the car in, and my dad continued to make a path through our yard. We just got a snowblower that attaches to the tractor, so it wasn't like taking a shovel or anything. I went to check on the horses, making sure they were still kicking seeing as their fence was down. But they were just standing in their barn, as if nothing even happened. They probably didn't want to wander considering their fence was the same color as everything else, which was white. I have to give them more hay, because not only this year do we have two horses, the second horse we got happens to eat ALOT. So rather than having one horse that eated enough to make himself look rather well, we have one horse that eats every possible food item, including weeds which I have to find and dig up in their pasture before she gets to them now.
But back to the power outage, guess what happens once we have the yard plowed, and animals checked on? The lights just turn right back on. -.- Fuck electricity. It should either work or not, make up your mind! Dx
I drew some good pictures though, which I might be posting later. Most likely not, but just a little thing to give some people some interest in what I blather about.
This is the end of a very long and carelessly written story about powerlessness. FuckTW.
