Are markers safe on airplanes?

I'm going to be flying out to FC 2011 and wanted to bring my Copic or Prisma color markers with me. Problem is, I don't know if the air pressure changes will damage or ruin them. Those little buggers aren't cheap and don't know if it'd do that.
Anyone else with experience flying with art markers know if they're ok in carry on?
