halfway there
Dear Princess Celestia
This past weekend marked the halfway mark in my commissioning process. I am now over the top and going down hill in my pursuit of becoming an Officer. Only two months are remaining of class room instruction then starting in march, we start the field training. After a couple months of practicing that, in late July I ship out for Phase III instruction then pending success, I will earn my commission on August 6th. Just 5 days prior to leaving for IFC in Indiana.
Lieutenant Liedt has a nice ring to it, eh?
For those that haven't figured it out yet, I am currently attending the Traditional course of Officer Candidate School for the Illinois Army National Guard. The course length in total is 18 months long, but its broken down into weekend drills only, once a month. Then two 3 week training courses during the summer. I completed my Phase I this past summer in wonderful Camp Ripley in Minnesota. Phase II is currently being held at the Illinois Military Academy and my Phase III will be in Ft Lewis, WA.
My body aches, but the will ain't broke yet. I'm finishing this program one way or another. By the way, anyone have a couple of arms and perhaps some abdominals that I can borrow? I think they broke mine this past weekend.

I remember we were the two that were beating the drum the most both on Furtopia and on the IFC website itself. So perhaps one of these days we are going to meet up at one of these cons.

I will give you an arm but you have to take my cold too. Do we have a deal?

I know how to deal with colds. You need to take a hot and I mean Really HOT bath, so hot it turns your skin red. Then force yourself to stay in there for at least an hour. Make sure you bring plenty of cool drinking water. You will sweat so hard and your body temp will rise so high the cold bug will boil itself and die. You'll start feeling better almost immediately.

Nice! Keep it up! I don't have any spare arms but there are some peg legs lying around...

I almost agreed to it, but then I thought of Kobuk, yeah he bites my legs often in Furtopia, trying to get a good bite of 'Kapi steaks, but, if I get a peg leg, then he'd never leave me alone. I don't want to have a begging dog following me everywhere waiting for me to throw the stick (peg leg) for him all day.

Good job. I don't have any muscles to loan you but... hmm....*thinks up plans for a hydraulic exoskeleton*

I could definitely use this invention for the Revolution that's coming. I fully support your research and development of this exoskeleton thing.
