Possibly moving out? :c

I thought I would throw this out there, I am probably going to have to move out in 1-3 months.
The stay at my parents house banks on how well I do in school. I think this may be my last semester as I am both fed up with my parents regarding school and I have lost faith in what school is for. I will pass all my classes, but this will not be good enough for admissions to accept me into the engineering program, leaving me at a dead end.
So, I'm in need of options.
I'm looking for a place to live for me and my cat. I'm not asking for money, I plan to collect as much as I can from the probably temporary job I have over winter and use that to sustain myself till I find a new job where ever I end up.
I'm hopeing the horse lady I worked for can take me in, as she could use a free maid and animal care taker.
I'd love some thoughts and ideas. Has anyone else had to make this scary step to move out of the nest? I have no idea what I'm doing.

find roommates. And i'm not saying necessarily ask around your friends and figure out who else wants to fly the coop, i mean decide the right timing and, if necessary, place a craigslist ad (or if you're a little fuzzy on the 'where', you could instead look at the roommate postings)
The only requirement is to have a steady income. this nest egg people talk about before moving isn't really required, unless you don't plan on working right away.
I guess maybe find the job first? is what happened to me.
Good luck, and its not too hard or too bad moving out on your own :) me and my yuki-kitty love it :D
The job part is what scares me xD
I'm pretty sure Id have no car >:
I think things may get settled between me and my parents, they arent that cold... or at least I hope not.
Thanks <3
I would say the best thing to to is to find a steady job before you move out, find at least one roommate who you can trust. also if something bad does happen like you loose your apartment make sure you have good friends or faimly members who would like to help you in an emergency. Hope this helps :c
But there isn't much that can be said that others haven't. Make sure to have a steady job with decent income and a possible roomate. Personally I'm find someone you know decently besides a random stranger just so you know what you're getting into. Just remember the olf saying "you won't know somebody truly until you live with them."
I really hope things work out for you. I can understand wanting to leave parents as my bf and I live with mine right now.
Unfortunately, my best friend is off to go back to school in the spring and has no need for a roommate.
My dad is all "regardless of the grades, I still support you". I have no idea what to say to that, my dad rarely shares his feelings beyond my studies.
Eh, I dunno. So much to think about, I do have time if it does come down to this. My parents cant boot me out till they get back from their trip in mid march e..e
With that, though, if worse comes to worse you're welcome to stay at my den for a bit but I would expect some compensation at some point, I'm not gonna pay for anyone to live with me who isn't a mate XD
Totally understandable and I appreciate the offer; would probably be as a very very last resort thing.
I am talking with my parents, I did tonight, but we aren't very good with communicating. I never really get to put my foot down about anything and its only been this year were I've actually been brash and disrespected my parents by not thinking as to what I was saying.
I do want to walk away with a degree, but I'm tired of being disappointed all the time. I enjoy myself in the classes I take, I want to continue, but I am on the fence. I'm going to be quite sad if I don't get into the program, but I told my dad that they would have to take me down fighting; that I'd involve my professors into this matter as they could vouch for my willingness to transfer into the school.
I just detest people being bureaucratic :C I had to deal with that pain when I went to Purdue my first 2 years of school.
