Why I DON'T use Facebook (or twitter)
So it's been a while, but in case some of you guys don't look at old journals or just forgot, here's a reminder.
All my adult and mature art I've received via commission or request is all over here
Callipygous
While I may not check the comments or favs or whatnot on that account, it is where I post anything that isn't of a general rating. So check it out if that's your thing.

Yes this is a rant, if you'd like to choose to skip it, scroll down and listen to the youtube song I like at the bottom...
Mainly because I'm a private (sorta, kinda more than most people...) kind of person. I'm all for telling complete strangers tidbits about my life and about me, just not enough for anyone to ever figure out who I really am, or any other information that could be used to effectively stalk me...
Now to clarify, I say I don't use Facebook or twitter, but in fact, I do have one account on each site. The reason I can still claim to not use the two sites, is thus:
Facebook: I have an account because my parents begged me to get one for a good year and a half, and I gave in finally when I was leaving home to go to college out of state. I have less than 20 friends, and at least 15 of which are directly related to me (2 for sisters, 1 for brother, 2 for parents, 1 for grandparents, 5 or 6 for cousins, and some more for aunts and uncles). I've also only ever visited and logged onto the site less than 5 times (I've had an account for at least half a year)...
Twitter: I follow 3 different users (and have 0 followers), one of which is for digimon battle online, another is Ray William Johnson's account (guy who does "=3" on youtube), and the third is... nevermind it was someone following me (a bot, who I blocked(after logging in to figure out who the third person I followed was...)) I've only ever made (posted?) 2 tweets (I think I can't check might have been 3...) and those were to RWJ to try and suggest vids for him to review....
Okay with that out of the way I can move on.
First off like I mentioned, I like my privacy. Also I don't like ads, spam, and/or etc. I especially hate having my preferences and and info being given to companies to make ads/spam/etc. for me. http://www.joyoftech.com/joyoftech/.....ives/1445.html
I personally have a irrational (aka mostly not founded on logic) dislike of a lot of popular cultural phenomenon (like Starbucks, Football, Baseball, Apple, etc.) and Facebook and twitter are both in that category and things I started out with an unfounded disliking of...
Also why would I want to be connected to so many people? I've heard all sorts of stories: People posting about being on vacation and having their house's robbed, employers finding compromising photos of some social event (like getting really drunk/high at a party), and even being friends with enough people that you start getting watched by the real creepers.... http://www.joyoftech.com/joyoftech/.....ives/1444.html
Probably one of the biggest reasons I don't use them, is because I simply could care less what other people are doing for the most part....
Anyway I could rant on and on about these things... but I feel I've wasted to much of my life just writing this,,,

FA+

I have facebook for keeping in touch with old friends, family and current school contacts. I don't really post feed (only when something big like having my dogs put down) or pay attention to other feeds.
I refuse to use twitter; it's basically nothing but a facebook wall that people use to mention what they ate for breakfast.
