Frankly, I'm happy. I'm not in the military myself, but it was kinda wrong for them to ban gays from the military like that. Now, they don't have to worry and honestly, morale should improve.

Well it means that all the gays that are in the military can now openly sate they are gay without fear of loosing their jobs, thats a great thing. Also even if someone assassinates Obama now, it would be the Vice president that the sining it, so that wont be stopped.

Frankly? I'm to old, too out of shape, and too not gay for this to effect me, in the small since, but if we're gonna go large scale, I think I'd first like to piss on a a few fires that a few flameys started when there was talk about the DADT bill getting repealed.

Well, pre-DADT the policy was:

Being openly gay pre DADT meant that all the homophobes could gay-bash you all they want, as long as they don't get caught, if they got caught, they were given a token punishment and the gay was Dishonorabled for 'causing trouble' by being gay and 'provoking' those poor homophobes.

Now if DADT is dead, with no official policy to replace it, we'll be going back to the 'good ol' days' when the 'good ol' boy network' was beating up anything that went against 'good ol' American values' (which meant Southern values,).
