I've said time and time again that if the site needed good maintenance, he should get the coder geeks who love to play with sites and put them in charge of working the place, as some of them might even agree to do it for free (as if anyone could fix the site for the better but was promoted and recognized as the guys who did the site stuff, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the lack of pay and it would keep a good site up). Looks like that's out the door... I doubt anyone would want to work with this site anymore. Not like that matters after the new shit that's hit the fan... Sooooo, let's see....
Place gets hacked, 'Neer does nothing. Galleries get wiped, 'Neer does nothing. Notes get leaked, 'Neer does nothing. People find out Zaush isn't the good guy that he is and 'Neer did nothing when those notes were exchanged, people get mad and 'Neer does nothing. People call 'Neer out saying he should have done something, and 'Neer says "it's not rape". .....'Neer makes new journal and says it's not rape and waits for more comments to be posted in sympathy for him. People point out it's rape, and 'Neer says "oh, THAT part where it says rape".
Ladies and gentlemen, your site owner! *sighs* Leaving the site because it's coded poorly and run half assed is one thing, but fuck, not liking being on a site with a guy who says rape is fine as long as your popufur. Thinking to just use FA to watch other people until they move off here or the site finally crumbles, whichever comes first. If I do go fully inactive on here and not submit things I won't clean out my gallery. I'll just not post anything (most of you guys should be used to that by now though huh =C ).

If you know of any other site that isn't a shameless well of failure AND happens to work well along with a mentally stable community, let me know. I've been looking for two years now and I'm not getting anywhere that isn't an outright artsale fest or a pipe dream of an art community.
It'll be hard to really find a place of mental stability with the furry fandom though... Furries aren't stable. Not all of them anyways. If FA gets someone to buy out Dragoneer and fix this place up, then awesome. If this site winds up crashing and spawns some people to ban together and make a new site, then that's fine too. But for now, this site's kinda had one too many bad moments for me and I just don't think I want to be a full part of it anymore. I don't know if I'll really feel like submitting stuff on here even after the smoke and flames settle. I'd would leave and never come back, but there are a bunch of people who still insist they want to stay on here (knowing or unknowing of what kind of people run this place) so I just won't fully abandon the site. Just, not contribute, only comment.
I'm sorry if this is annoying you.... I'm sure there'll be a flux of people saying they're leaving. But I can't blame them. I can stick it out with poor coding, frequent down times, AUP changes, but not people who hand wave serious issues and say it's nothing.
As for stability, I could give a rat's ass an a half if it's a furry community or not anymore. I just want a place that isn't borderline criminally insane or have a 10 foot pole of ego up their own asses.
I also tried it over at furocity as you know. It's boring as hell because if it's not almost dead with inactivity, it's got more than it's fair share of the creepy fetishists that are WAY into (like, damn near hysterical) hyper muscle foot worshiping mind control weirdness... Meh. (Not that FA is clean of this stuff, it's got it's corner, I got mine kind of thing...) Truth be told, the coding there's loaded with issues too, which is kinda crippling to it as a functional place.
I'm just at a loss right now. :\
Yeah, Furocity was nice and active the month or so FA was down last year (or, year before?), but after it went back up, yeah, people moved out and only the RP folks stayed on. The only other place I like is Artpiles. It was FAP once before, but, yeah, spooked that the site will blink out much like FAP did... Only other places left are So Furry and Inkbunny, but yeah... LOTS of folks left to there after the official cub porn banning (either because they needed their cub porn that badly, or it was the young folks crying "freedom of speech!"). *sighs* It kinda feels weird that there isn't a place for me to just curl up on and call home now. I used to think FA could stand anything, any kind of problem or hacking thing or whatever. I just didn't plan seeing that the people running the show are as mad as the folks they claim to weed out and ban. This site was always my Plan B. I never counted on a Plan C!
And I'm not disappearing completely. I know some folks who will still stay on, not knowing or caring of what's going on. I'll just lurk and check their posts out and maybe comment.

The guy not only doesn't help the person who was raped by Zaush in any way, but he wants to protect this from getting out as Zaush's fanbase would flipshit. And when people saw the leaked notes he had, and anyone points at this and says it's rape, 'Neer either says "No it's not. I don't believe it's rape." or "Oh, I didn't see that part of her note.".

Because we all know packing our bags and running will accomplish a lot. Whoever hacked the site is probably reading all these journals of people quitting and smiling at a job well done.
...what, you mean, the journal warning people to change their passwords and one of his OWN ADMIN DIDN'T CHANGE THEIR PASSWORD? Ugh X/ People warn 'Neer about the security, and nothing is done about it. 'Neer warns people to change passwords and they don't... WHERE IS THE LOGIC???
So ya, now that something has gone wrong I am sure he will take advantage of the fact it wasnt a fatal blow and make sure it wont happen again.
