I, for one, stand with Dragoneer

I took the time to read an indignant account of the recent events: http://bridgeportcat.livejournal.com/96818.html
O backseat driver drama!
1) FA admins have access to private messages: so what? Same thing on the site where I trade Magic cards. When there are frequent conflicts between the users of a site, and admins often have to make disciplinary decisions, it's no surprise that the admins have access to PMs.
2) FA's alleged security holes: I don't know the security standards for that kind of site and I won't judge FA's performance based on hearsay. I'm sure the fandom has plenty of techie lolgeeks capable of occasional successful hacking regardless of the exact level of security.
3) Dragoneer's "gross" messages to users: actually I find them very reasonable.
- The zoo issue: I don't care about zoo and I find understandable that some are anti-zoo and others are tolerant/sympathetic. As for the legal status of zoo, it varies widely across countries and states. As long as Dragoneer's warnings/tip-offs to some users aim at removing public content which could hurt the site, I'd say his messages are mostly legitimate.
- The Zaush issue: the girl's testimony is not necessarily true, and would be worth little in court. Even if it's true, how is asking Dragoneer to ban Zaush from FA an appropriate response? Dragoneer's advice to the girl - that is, warning her that she may get hated/harassed by Zaush's fan base, and that she will need her own support to count on if she goes public - looks quite sensible to me.
In short, methinks it's all a case where ugliness is in the eye of the beholder

[here was post i sent another journal. if check jqraptors journal has a contenuation on it XD
Je vais dans la famille du 23 au 28 inclus, sinon je ne risque pas de sortir beaucoup de Paris avec les cours et le stage en hôpital de mon Master 2
Me on turn 1: "swamp, dark ritual, Mourning Thrull with Edge of the Divinity, 4/4 flyer with lifelink"
Them: "Plains, Path to Exile. U mad?"
Normally I'd be content with using artifact lands or Welding Jar as my target for Master Transmuter (pulling a sphinx the size of a M1A2 Abrams out of a jar is somewhat amusing), but I figure if I'm bouncing the needle every turn, I can change its target on demand =3 *Is a total Johnny*
WikiLeaks est à la mode !
:) Nice to read something less dramatic with all the crap flying left right and center. Very well spoken.
