Diviners, Papers, and Stories (OHMY!)

General
Well, it's been awhile since my last journal, so I figured it might be good to post on recent events. There's quite a lot to say, so... let's get to the point.
First off, I've finally decided to take a leap into something that's held my interest for quite some time: the ancient art of divination. A have a lot of friends who are Neo-Pagan, Neo-Druidic, Wiccans, witches, etc. Some of them (the one from my workplace in particular) have been telling me that with all the deja vus and prophetic dreams I've been experiencing I should really look into trying psychic readings of some sort. Well, yesterday, I was messing around at the Barnes & Noble in Fenton, and what should I come upon but The Book of Runes? After thinking on it and doing a bit of studying, I realized my decision to try it out was more practical than Tarot or the like. Rune readings require deep introspection and a clear mind, but no contacting the spiritual realm. Sounds safer than asking the dead to show me the future. And, boy, did they prove their power when I asked them about Sarah. To those who know me, you know why that's proof enough that it works.
Next up on the list. College. I'm finding myself caught in the same old trap I do at the beginning of every year. I'm getting lazy, and it's already costing me. I need some sort of higher motivation to keep going. Or maybe I need to stop pushing myself so hard. Or maybe I just need to quit and try something else. I dunno. I need help deciding this sort of thing. Those who were college survivors before me, I need some advice. How did you keep doing the work and still find time to relax and do what you like?
And, the final note. Story progress is kinda stunted for the time being. What with three Honors courses, parents demanding I work as free labor for them every weekend I come home, a weekend job that drains me every Friday and Saturday night, and trying to stay on good terms with my roommates, it's getting tough to even squeeze in a moment of my time for them. I'm still trying to get a new one out there ASAP, but I don't wanna rush and harm the potential quality.
That's all. More details at noon.
Jackal, out.

As for story progress, well you've said it enough times for me so I'll return the same to you: don't get yourself worked into a frenzy over it if you've got more important stuff on your plate. It'll come in due course just as it did for me (much in thanks to your reassurance I might add as well).
And finally referring to the rune reading, well I'll catch you online for that. I'm interested to learn more about it and what you've uncovered. :)
