Lord please take this prayer to the ears
of the departed souls of whom you have
under your care and may they know that
they are not forgotten.

As the sun goes down, we realize that
another day is coming to an end.
We feel for the families and close friends
for the loss of their loved ones.

We wish them the peace and
assurance that the reasons are there.
Though that they may be beyond our
understanding at this time, we know they do exist.

We pray they are comforted during this time
of grief, through their friends and family and the world.

We just want them to know that our thoughts
and prayers are with them and that their
deaths shall never be forgotten.
