Well, Mum and I are officially exchanging gifts for the holidays: I wrote the check for the copay on her eye surgery, and she's going to buy me a copy of Painter 11!… So lots of Painter stuff soon, probably after CES. I was suitably impressed with the demo I downloaded, and as that has expired now, I need my fix! After that, I think its time for some hard core study, and improve my digital technique quite a bit.

I'm still WAY better with traditional media, especially watercolor, but I like the instant editability of digital. My scanner took a crap a LONG time ago, and I haven't been able to find anyone to fix the poor thing. Too bad, cause it cost about $3000 when it was new… Now, its just serving as a safe place to store some Kissyfur and Goof Troop cels and drawings I bought at a con a few years back… Gotta get those suckers framed…
