2010...
Man, itsa already come and gone as we step into the year of double one, a binary coders dream number from what I have read.
*ahem* Anyway, 2010 in Review, with your host, CreepfromBehind.
*cheesy intro music*
Well, welcome one and all to the New Years in Review, yes I know this is a bit late, but I have been a bit tied up for the past few weeks traveling out of country. For those who don't know, I went to Chilie with my family to spend two weeks in an eco camp, in other words, no internet for that period and that meant nothing in regards to much else either.
I did however have a wonderful time, despite a cold I picked up, everything about the trip was spectacular. Chilie is a wonderful place; slightly cold being close to the Andes, but overall it has a good deal of culture.
We began our trip in the captial, Santiago, no not Don fromn GoW, but the city. Its a rather "westernized" city since many American and European banks and companies set themselves up there, from IBM to Scotibank. Despite that, its still a city lush with South American styles, despite also being overlly romantic with couples in every square inch of greenery parks.
Anyway, moving on. We only spent a day there before heading south to Patagonia, the Chilien side, though many would say its part of Argentia; its actually a rather contested area between the two. According to our guide, the park we staid at was on the dividing line between Chilie and Argentina. The large glaciers which we saw were in "disputed" waters, and once they fully receede in like 200 years or so, there might be a fight for the borderline of the two countries.
Despite that notion however, the rest of the trip was awesome, painful for being a extreme hike heavy experience, but glorious for the sights, sounds, wildelife and companionship of fellow campers.
After a good week hiking and ventuing about the park, we took our trip back to Santiago for our second and last week of our vacation. My family and I spent three out of the five days relaxing and walking about Santiago, shopping, exploring, the like, and then two days we went to another city, Vala...something...its a port city we wandered about for the day, not much else to say. The second being a day of adventure wine tours, yes, you read that right; adventure wine tours.
Adventure wine tours aparently is offered by various Winery locations in the regions around Santiago, this was my highlight of the trip. We started by touring two wineries, both recently built and though not producing at the moment due to the cold weather, capable of giving a gudided tour of the facilities. The adventure part came in with the second winery, which its land had a zip-line coruse. Man...that was epic shit.
Through the coruse of the trip I wrote, mostly towards my science fiction peice I plan to get published by the end of this year (with luck in also getting some other side things done too.)
I also got some work on a comic idea, and I plan to have that made up, the problem is, I am looking for an artist(s) who may be interested in partaking in this assignment (yes, I will pay, they are commissions after-all)
The explain it in breif...well...
Spy Girls, Swords, and plenty of sex and sexual fights.
There is more to it, but hopefully those carefully chosen words would help perk a few interests.
Thats 2010, as for 2011, who knows!
I want to get tabs on some old friends, follow up on some old...outstanding commissions I bought from people who have yet to contact me, and hopefully get some ref works done of key characters for future works.
Anyway, my cold is acting up, better go put the kettle on.
