First off, I like how merry his expression tends to be. The fact that he's big and fuzzy coupled with that demeanor makes him quite cuddly looking, and the fact that he's taller than most average characters gives him that gentle giant vibe.

Glad you noticed that! When I came up with him I wanted him to be like the classic Disney/Bluth/whatever hefty characters. Happy, fat, and funny. Though I did give him a more assertive side to go with those evil dragons from the same animations. I guess my liking of Godzilla also plays a part in him.

For some reason, the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned the assertive side is Kubel getting confrontational when a stubborn person isn't quite so willing to part with their BBQ.

The species hybrid is amazing and from his size and the fact that he's part gator I could imagine that sometimes Kubel can get a frisky dominant side ;b
