If you pay...

So, I have seen this around now, and it is quite the shame from people who take commissions.
If you get paid to do some art work, you better do it, in a proper time, etc, it is so disrespectful to not finish a paid job, specially since you getting paid out of trust in advance.
Also, if you are paying, you have the right to ask for progress in a rational manner, having in mind that the artist will honor the time frame that was pre set at the time of payments.
It is infuriating to see people steal money from others who appreciate your work well enough to support you even further by answering to your "open for commissions" call.
Edit: I would like to add, this is due to external things I have seen around, nothing directed to anybody nor my own experience :]

That's just me though. :D
I should just man up.
Not only are they stealing their money, their showing what kind of furs they really are
It's sad to see a loyal fan or even someone that looks up to the artist get put down like that >:(
*growling*
It still sucks that it even happens to people. :(
I would be so ashamed if I didn't meet a deadline, since it doesn't take more than 20 hours to produce something that you can show, right?
regardless!!! hope it doesn't ever happen to you =]
thank you <3
of the situation that caused the extended time.
Now I'll add to the journal, whether you consider it relevant to the topic or not is up to you.
I've been in an experience where I had a drawing half complete pretty much locking the commissioner in a position of having to pay
[My way of doing it is after the first sketch you pay] this was already refined sketch {pretty much before the inking} and the person
came to me stating that they had no valid way of paying after stating several times before they had a way to pay.
Short version, if someone commissions they better be able to pay it. [Works both ways]
If you don't get paid, don't draw a thing until payments have been cleared. If you get scam to do a sketch, then you should learn from it.
I'm probably gonna do a pay half before, pay half later thing.
Most people have been quite reliable when it comes to payment, it was that one time it happened.
in any case, I am sure this won't happen to you again =], Cheers~
