Not Hollywood's fault, in this case. It's the publisher of the novel in its American edition that changed the name, and Hollywood ran with it.

I'd totally forgotten that it had a different name in the UK....but don't worry, it looks awesome. You want the raping of childhoods, look at the trailer for the THING they're daring to call a "The Dark Is Rising" adaptation.
