SCAD..wow.. so..different.

I started school on Monday and, WOW, it's definitely a change of pace. Right now I SHOULD be doing my homework assignments but I decided it would be a good thing to leave y'all a little note. I won't be able to get on here as often..well, maybe on the weekends if I manage my time better.
Basically I had this silly idea that on the first day of classes that we would (A) introduce ourselves and go over the course in a nutshell, and (B) not have homework until the following class........ ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT! WRONG!!!!!!! In fact we did meet and greet but we did have homework on the first day, especially in my survey of western art class. That's my least favorite class so far, but I really like my 2D art and drawing1 classes. I had to buy at least $300 worth of equipment for 2D alone, and the books are kind of pricey for the others. I may need to spend an equal amount on equipment for drawing 1 it looks like..
I made a few friends, mainly by going out to the parking deck to smoke (lol) but most of them are pretty cool so far. Mainly guys but I did bump into two cool girls in drawing 1. I had to shoot some guy down after class today because APPARENTLY he was under the impression that I was available and straight to boot. Geez, you have a kind word with someone and they want to fuck you right off. What the hell? Even more awkward was when I told him I was gay and taken and he made a comment to the effect of, "Oh.. so when I said earlier that if you hung out with me at my dorm I could get crazy gropey if you weren't careful.. aw man! Well, I don't mean to be forward but are you saying that YOU wouldn't have a problem with it but your girlfriend would?"
Me: "NO! I'm saying that I have a girlfriend, I love her, and I would never screw around with anyone else, you're a guy, I'M A LESBIAN, blah blah blah."
Why do people have to make things more difficult? I always seem to attract guys like this. You know, those awkward, " She said hello to me!This girl is talking to me.. that must mean she's INTERESTED in me, which further leads me to believe that she will eventually FUCK me!"
Mother fuck! I'm a nice person, I'm a talkative person. I share many common interests with people, but for fuck's sake don't assume that I want to gobble your cock if we both are illustration majors and I had a kind word with you. FUUUUUUUCK!
So yeah, other than that situation today everything is coming along. I really do have projects to work on tonight though so I guess I'll chat with youz guys as soon I get that shit out of the way. I love and terribly miss you all even though it's been such a short breath of time. Wish me luck with this crappy western art bullshi-er.. GAWD THAT'S SO NOT THE ATTITUDE I NEED TO HAVE. YAY I LOVE SCHOOL!

but anyways. are you at the scad down in Savannah or are you at the Atlanta branch they just added a year or two ago? in either case, i hope you enjoy it! i went to the art institute - it was hella expensive, but i had fun at least.
