I dislike whammies.....too hokey....They just never seem to have a good place in anything whether it be a solo or a basic progression.

A lot of people don't use the whammy bar properly. They just wail on it as if random whammys make them cool.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band have not helped rectify this situation. >.=.<

There is a time and place for a tremolo, and a particular style/method of tremolo for every time and place.

my uncle taught me a trick, he said to go some place like home depot and find out the thread size of the screw that will fit in the whole (because you don't have a whammy bar to ask what the thread size is) then just get it re-threaded for that size, it's like $5

I thought about that, but there's barely any of the original threading left. I'm afraid if I try to re-thread the standard 10-32 (I think) it'll end up with no integrity. Since it's missing a saddle height screw and I don't use it anyway, I'm just going to wait until I can get a new bridge (or a used one with the arm). Then I'll take it apart and paint it to match.

Anyway, I've got the tension low enough on the springs I can just lift up the bridge sans arm.
