Don't you sketch a skeleton before you draw the outside? Just add flesh to the bones.

My method of drawing is way different. I don't draw circles,squares,triangles and such. What I do just draw it out what comes to mind. To me the skeleton thing is too much time in my hands. :P

You could try using a manequin and try posing it around and then just draw what you observe.
