FC 2011 in review

Warning: this is going to be kind of a weird entry. :/
FC 2011 was kind of disappointing and stressful. I was left out of a lot of things by the folks I thought I was mainly going to be hanging out with. I might have lost a couple of friends because of my dour demeanor. I spent a lot of time at the con alone, wondering why I had bothered. I didn't really sell many CD's. Wasn't always relaxing, wasn't always fun. And I didn't really get any.
But at the same time, I got invited to hang out with some people I didn't expect to care. I caught a really fun party or two, just talking and getting hammered in a room full of strangers. I think I made a couple of friends who might even remember who I am if I show up next year. My wandering around aimlessly was rewarded by running into groups who were doing things and getting caught up along for the ride. I DID sell two CD's, and someone even gave me money to draw for him - ON PURPOSE. Busy, fun, and I should stop complaining because I did get SOME... just not a lot.
It was a stressful, confusing, emotionally-draining mess, but altogether worthwhile. Still not sure if it will be worth the energy next year, though. Still debating. x_x
Sorry if I hurt your feelings. I'm a grumpy badger who grumps about things, and I hate it when people take it personally. I'm trying to be less abrasive as a person, but it's kind of my default mode, especially these days.
So yeah, good and bad stuff happened. That's not much of an accolade, that's just how it went. 50% misery, 50% mind-blowing fun, without any in-between.
I guess this was good, because now work seems calm by comparison. 8(

I'm helping a friend out for about 10-11 months until he can find a roomie to replace me. I'll be commuting to the bay area and back though for my job, which isn't gonna be fun at all... =_=;
Me and Voln plan on doing the dealer's den again, so, you'll know where to find us. :D
