Eurofurence - A Con To Be Counted In

General
The EF ... I just say: great convention. But here's the full story:
Wednesday
12AM:Some Furs meet at the last southern U4 station and go hyper already XP I was driving from there till we got to Germany.
After 8 long hours (that are even longer if you stay awake during the night) we arrive at the hotel. Yeah HOTEL, not hostel, we had bathrooms in every room!!!
When the registration opened I saw a cute and well made fursuit. I just had to sketch it and standing in the line was boring anyways. I finished the sketch right before it was my turn.
I was hanging around half awake till my roomie arrived. On 10PM I finally was going to sleep for the next 12 hours.
Thursday:
Okay, PPL Here We Go.
The Eurofurence has opened the SIG rooms, the art show and the dealers den. Activity strikes me and I get to know the level of the artists around. Stuning people like
blotch and
kacey, also
skifi and some others.
Some artwork was rather scary, some wasn't my taste and some works totally rocked my world XD
Afternoon I went down for a lil essential shopping and returned with some alcohol, warm chinese meal and a hairbrush. YAY
I came to hear the songs of the fauna project. I loved it so much. It had much feeling. Aja's voice was just awesome and they played old FMF songs I haven't heard for 10 years or so. And after they revamped them, they sounded better than ever. :)
Spent the late evening with some great friends from all kinds of european countries. My English vocabulary developed epicaly, especially the drunk talk skill while tasting my first and only Jägermeister
Friday
Heavy drawing, funny people I've never met before and live practically next door made my day.
tanidareal was always busy and I havn't found a quiet moment to talk a lil to her, cause of fans and work on her side. NTL an occasional cuddle was the least I could do to this stressed orga-kitty.
I found out about the art lounge, a spontaneous meetup for the drawing staff. No contest, no administration, and still it worked out well.
I even had a quick stage time when in the crowning ceremony of Taibu.
Saturday
Last day of the Artshow and the Dealer's Den and some totally awesome SIGs (=Special Interest Group) but first I listened to the voice of Alexander James Adams, the official heir of Heather Alexander. He broke his instruments on stage but he just played on and on, it was an awesome solo concert with atmosphere and a crowd crying out of joy.
I learned much about alternative but still effective ways of Fursuit Building. If I can get my hand on some of the Closed Cell Foam, I'm going to have a lot of fun :D
BBF's evening lineup didn't rock my world but it was certainly jumpy good electronic music. After that my night's work was mainly exchanging sketches and look at peoples stunning arts.
Sunday
Time to say goodbye to all the people that I got to know and like. I'm almost sure I forgot to wish everybody I knew a safe trip back home. So I hope you all got home safe and sound.
I totally enjoyed this convention as it was my first exclusively furry one.
