This has nothing to do with the new year. Just a personal goal I set long ago and now I want to finish it. So here goes...
A year and more ago I set out to lose weight. My biggest was 375. Ya, I know. Well that was even longer ago hehe. Anyway, more than a year ago I weighed 350 pounds. I decided for my health and because I wanted to be around for my wife and cubs to change my lifestyle and lose some pounds. Started working out, cust down on foods and most sugars and months of hard work later I got down to 280. Woohoo! I had not been down below 300 pounds since I was in high school.
So here we are at present. I gained a couple back but I have actually done very well at keeping it off. I currently weigh 288 pounds. I would like to think that's not aweful considering I'm 6'2', bench probably around 300 and can curl probably around 200. I'm also all ninjaish and into martial arts. But still! I want to get down to my goal weight of 250.
Well at my work they decided to do a voluntary contest. The winning team that loses the largest percent of body weight after 12 weeks wins $100 gift card and some other crap. I'm so going to win! *growls*
I'm back on my regiment. Regular work outs mostly. So why you ask...Go ahead ask...No really ask it out loud. Your lame. Can't even ask it out load? Whatever...Anyway. Oh yes. Why you ask am I posting this?...
Because I want YOU to join me. Unless of course you are skinny, well then I just want you to shut up and look pretty and get me a diet pepsi hehe.
If you want to join me and want to be held accountable to each other then post to this journal your current weight and your goal after 12 weeks. Be reasonable. Set what you think you can actually do and let's all work together to make this happen. I will repost this regularly with updates. And I have a body weight calculater if you want to know your % that you lost.
So who is with me??? Come on. There is no time like the present and no excuses. Yes we fat furries may have a more difficult time loseing weight but we still can. Get your tails up *Watches as you raise your tails, grinning wide* and let's do this!

Rexman77 - 220 pounds. Goal after 12 weeks - At least 210, hopefully below 200!
I need to lose weight... I'm almost 300 (need to wait a bit before weighin' myself since Kogy just gave me ice cream.. >m> ), but I don't show it because apparently I carry it well.
I'm 5ft, 9in and 174 pounds (Ideally I should probably be 6 to 10 pounds less). In 2005 I had ballooned up to nearly 200 pounds, but not from over eating; It was due to stress at a really .. REALLY bad job.
I've kept it down, and I try to work out daily. Best of all is my cholesterol level's excellent and my resting pulse is 58 bpm.
Keep it up! I want to hear you've gotten to 200!
I went from 310 to 180, though over a lengthy period of time, and with no fad diets or unhealthy practices - just controlling portion size, fewer simple carbohydrates (and more complex ones), less fat, and lots more fruits and veggies. You can do it, too! :)
I am 170lbs, I wanna be 150 at least and i'll do so as long as it takes to get there..figure 20lbs can be at least a pant size or two -.-
So glad you are doing this with me dear. Not that you need it at all. Just more friends that I can be accountable to. My next weigh in is on Sunday.
Kagrin=I'm 5'8" and weigh 215.5. I hope to get down to 190 in three months (I think that about equals to about two pounds a week).
I could do with joining you, if only slightly. I'm 5'10" and I way 145 (light, i know, but I don't have/really need much muscle for my lifestyle). I wanna bring it down to 135 or 130, to help eliminate some of my icky chest and leg flab.
So what exactly are some of your current methods to bring the weight down? lower calorie intake, working out more, etc?

I'll join cause dammit I'm tired of being fat lol. actually since like november I've been loosing weight. everyone keeps telling me I have been and even I can tell *giggles* though I don't have any exercise stuffs to work with. I really don't like weight lifting, I'm more into aerobics XD [the girl in me XD]
hmm as for stats, I don't know lol don't have a scale cause they just depress me.
I'm....5'9 now probably, I think I dunno I keep shrinking lol and weight meh 400+ is my best guess..
and my goal is 200ish or so
plus I realized I'm 30 years old now and I can't keep using my bad legs as an excuse anymore, I mean how else are they going to get better and stronger again if I keep like not doing something
