Adoptables = Evil. People should design there character's not buy them like pop-tarts off the shelf. Just my two cents.

I think the main reason there is appeal to them is that some people aren't artists, and buying something pre created to flesh out a story for later is easier.

But ionno. They ARE a dime a dozen some days. I think the least Ill do is vary the species.

Yeah that sounds good hehe love come up with species for them. It's the one place hybrid seems to be awesome.

I think adoptables are great if they are actually a bit fleshed out as characters. I don't like bucket fill adoptables. I think if you varied species and styles a bit between them and make it like you're buying something actually worth keeping.

I think thats what I'll do, as opposed to the copy past, different design adoptables. sharkattack & capribebe had a REALLY good thing goin with theirs. I'd like to stick to those lines me thinksssss.

If you want some help designing I'd love tooo. You know me and my character addiction :B

Custom adoptables I don't mind, because the buyer gets to create something with an artist's input. Its like a ref sheet for a new character but some how different.

I think it would be neat to give a few species, let the buyer choose two or three to mash up, then ill create the "hatchling" accordingly. Maybe even decide its sex. Just so it seems more like a... ionno, a thing as compared to... a digital piece of art.

From what I understand of adoptables, there's not much I'd be interested in, personally. It's just a character design, right? Sometimes it "grows" and you get a a few different drawings of the same general concept? Could be I'm missing something, but I don't understand why these are so popular. If it's a concept you want to buy, why not go all out and get a giant painting of some flowers?

That being said, by all means, have a go at 'em! People will probably buy them. They're insanely popular, and you're a fabulous artist. So... why not? 83

I think, in the long run I feel the same way. But I'm an artist and if I want one, Ill sit down a draw one. I try and see it from the standpoint of someone who wants a character of their own, but no means to create it. Ionno.
