I don't normally write up about cons but I have to say that this years FC is probably the best con I've gone to yet. Of course, I spend the $45 for a badge and pretty much only went to the fursuit parade as a con event, but you know.

Anyway! So, I flew out Thursday, which wasn't terribly eventful minus getting the patdown from the TSA. So, at DTW there are two lines, more or less, for security, one for the body scanner and the other for just the metal detector. I go into the metal detector line, but I get pulled off to the side to go through the body scanner anyway. Of course, that won't do, so I had to opt out. Also kind of cool was coincidentally running into GreenReaper, since our flights were nowhere near each other timewise.

Had lunch at the TGI Friday's in DFW (I never have that kind of time, usually I have to rush and grab fast food!) and flew into SJC where  Inaki picked me up. We went over to the hotel, and got into the suite. I roomed with Inaki,  visky, Lutris and Nakita, and Felysha and  nextstep stayed in the room for part of the weekend.

Thursday for dinner was Indian with  Hayatoru, Cryptodragon,  Indicoyote, and  Phoenix-D, picked up my badge, and visited with Phoenix-D, Hayatoru, and  Nickylion for a while before crashing.

Friday was the first day of the convention. I think we ended up getting up around noon. Went to Peggy Sue's for lunch and I almost left my badges there x.x Dinner was awesome Chicago style pizza at Pizz’a Chicago, went with a bunch of people including Hayatoru, Crypto,  Pathia, Tersi,  Anawyn and Indi. Unfortunately we had to wait for a long while, but it was still good! We had tried going to Gordon Borsch first but they were too busy. The evening was mostly spent hanging around in Phoenix-D's suite with him, Hayatoru, and Nickylion.

Saturday was a bit of an early start, Inaki had to get up and pick  nyghtwulf up from work at about 9am, and despite having gone to bed at 3am, I couldn’t get back to sleep. So, I ventured off to the bakery next to the hotel for some quiche and a muffin, then towards the Safeway for an energy drink, and a 12 pack of Cherry Coke. Always need Cherry Coke!

I wandered the hotel for a bit, and ended up making my way to  StormdragonBlue and  Kahncub's room, where we and a few others (sorry, don't remember names D:) played some multiplayer Pokemon matches! That was pretty awesome. Also got to meet  RedXIX who I was hoping to run into.

That afternoon, Inaki and I went to watch the fursuit parade. Got plenty of pictures. Afterwards, the two of us met with Pathia, Tersi, and a couple others to finally eat at Gordon Biersch. I had a pulled pork sandwich, was awesome! Dinner was some quick Chinese food with Inaki. That evening we had a party up in Phoenix's room, with Haya, Phoenix, Nickylion, Inaki, Pathia, Tersi, and plenty of others, even  TurbineDivinity was up for a short while. That was super fun :)

Sunday morning had some crazy fog out. Inaki had recorded a time-lapse of the sunrise and sunset from Friday night to Saturday night, so we edited that together and put it on YouTube. Lunch was at the Pita Pit with Inaki, Chhaya and Nakita. It was really good but I think they forgot to give me part of my meal :(

 Torne had come in from the UK for work coincidentally the same weekend as FC, so we spent some time hanging out Sunday afternoon. Dinner was a bit crazy! We went to a Moroccan restaurant, with really good food but it was super expensive. $43 a person! We had 14 people there, too, including Inaki, Chhaya, Nakita, Anawyn, Indi, Pathia, Tersi, and Hayatoru. The rest of the evening we had most of the same people up in our suite for another fun party. Crypto, Kes, Krinn, Phoenix and Nickylion also came, which was fun.

Monday morning, I wandered off early to say bye to some people before they had to leave. Then we packed up the room and said goodbye to the hotel before heading back to Inaki's house. For lunch, we went to an all you can eat sushi restaurant near their house, which was a terribly reasonable $23 or so a person. We had me, Inaki, Chhaya, Badger,  Krinn, Kes, Crypto,  Solei,  Jummigackal, Nakita,  shailai,  captainsaicin and Lutrus! It was very tasty and there was soooo much sushi.

Inaki had to leave for work, after lunch, and since I didn't have much else to do I decided to go along with him. His work is pretty awesome, and isn't helping me want to move in the slightest! I spent some time breaking my server and playing around with stuff. Fastest 8 hours ever spent in an office! They even had Thai for dinner.

We got back to their place after Inaki was done with work. It was really foggy out again, but the roads weren’t busy. Then there was a bit more food that badger made (spaghetti and chicken nugget things!) and sleep.

Tuesday morning was a pretty simple ride from badger to the airport, and after having lunch at a Mexican place in the airport, got wifi on the flight and hung out. Once I got to DFW, I already had plans to meet someone, so they picked me up from the airport and we went and got pho for dinner in Dallas outside the airport. I got back juuuuust as the first class boarding started for my plane. Plane was pretty uneventful back to Detroit, then a two hour drive home. Then zzzzz.

That was my FC! It was awesome :D
