Just thinking...

I have noticed many submissions on here (sexual or not) that if a character is overheating(hot) they show sweat, usually on the fur.
Now, if an animal were to sweat as much as a human did, through their skin, wouldn't their fur get all matted and sticky?
I was kind of curious about it...
Canines and Felines(and probably some other mammals) sweat through their tongues, paw pads, and their nose.
Don't know.. haha.. just thought I'd throw something out there.. curious is all..
What do you think?

Thank you for commenting. :D <3
Indeed, the fur would become clustered and spiny the same way a dog/cat's fur does when drenched with water. Good point.
It would be really uncomfortable though.. o.O
Also, there is salt in sweat, so when they'd dry off they would have all this salt stuck in their fur making their skin all dry and ichy. xD
I guess it really does just depend on the artist, and how they wish to express certain things. One could emphasize heat by putting sweat drops, or embarrassment with blushing. Just as a cartoonist will make eye pop out when they see a train coming, or keep running even though they have no more ground to run on.
Thanks for the comment!! :D
(for some species, I suppose you could say their ears blush. That's how I usually indicate it in the stories that I write, or I simply say blushed and leave exactly how to the reader's imagination.)
