Medical condition-diagnosed with Fibromyalgia
14 years ago
In response to my last journal http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1963517/
After many doctor visits and tests they decided it was Fibromyalgia. Currently they don't know what causes it, no cure, and no lab test can detect it. To sum things up for you guys if you don't know what it is, I will be in chronic pain and fatigue for the rest of my life. It mostly comes in goes in flares as far as I can tell, mostly when I push my body too much from activities I used to be able to do with ease. Things that didn't hurt me before do now, it's like someone turned the volume up too high on my pain tolerance. It is different for everyone so some people have one symptom where I might not like sleeping disorder, I don't have that thank god. Also I don't have bathroom issues, THANK GOD AGAIN.
If you have questions feel free to ask haha.

My mom has this same condition, plus all the stuff you said you don't have. I've seen first hand how it is, that and my mom's Dr said that I may be at risk for it as well. Just please make sure you take good care and mind of what meds they assign you and double check them always for conflicts. *Hugs* If you ever need someone to talk to about that condition just feel free to msg me.
(He's doing incredably well as far as how far its gotten, thank god, though)
And is there any way to treat it, is it just pain medication, or do they thing more holistic medicine such as acupuncture might work?
I wish the best for your dad, my brother had it. <3
<3 Thanks. I definitely treasure each time they come up for a visit. Talking about this has really made me miss them. :/
Pain management is really the only course, so get on that as soon as you can!
I wish you very few flare ups <3 im sorry ;__;
I ask because my sister suffered from chronic pain for years, among other things, (No incontinence problems, but there were related issues) and NOBODY had any idea what it was, until they finally narrowed it down to Gluten intolerance, which was causing a whole HELL of a lot of other problems as well it turned out...
DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!
In the particular Gluten intolerance my sister had, it was also causing her to develop lactose intolerance, and has the potential to cause permanent nerve damage and raise her chances of developing cancer.
Needless to say, it could have been very bad if unchecked.
