Hooters

As I got ready for bed I heard an owl hooting in the tree outside my window, which was later accompanied by a second owl responding. I know i have seen a snowy and a great-horned owl out here before.
I have also been graced with seeing a variety of other wildlife, which includes foxes, coyotes, bobcats, badgers, deer, hawks, kestrels, and on one occasion a bald eagle.
On a Spring evening I can listen to a vixen calling to her pups, or the going out and calling the coyotes and listening to them and their new pups answer back in their squeaks and yelps. And on a Cold and clear
Winter's night I can hear two owls calling to each other.
This is why I love living in the country.

And here I get squirrels, toads, a couple birds, two or three deers and the occasional chipmunk in the suburbs of Wayland. I only get birds in Detroit. D:

I guess that's the trade up. I get to see wildlife all the time...but if I want to go to any stores, or malls, or any form of nightlife I have to drive at least 45 minutes. Though I'm not sure I'd really trade it.
