Even if I learned more Japanese and understood more than just 10% of the dialog, I doubt that it would make more sense.

It just looks like the artiest went on the wim of their ass just to make a random anime with no thought behind it for a story line and why are they doing all the BS stuff they are doing in the show.
I think I'll just stick with my favorite animes that have acttual story to it.
