Watched this movie last night courtesy of Netflix and...Hooooooly shit. Been a LONG time since a movie had me THAT spellbound. I'm amazed it got such poor reviews. The negative reviews of it are why I shoved it aside and never bothered watching it - guess I should have paid attention when Roger Ebert gave it a 3 out of 4 when almost no one else would.
For all it's inaccuracies about the legal system, the creepiest thing about the film is that the methodology Clyde Shelton uses is rather sound. It would be VERY feasible for him to do all this in the way presented.
If I ever make a personal Top Ten Favorite Movies list, this will be a contender for a spot on it.
On that note, I re-watched it tonight with my family since I knew they'd like it. And one scene caused my DAD of all people to jump out of his seat.
