Okay, so here's the situation.
I've been taking a creative writing class for about a month now, and there's this one cute girl who may have a thing for me. She suggested I write a story about WoW (I mentioned that I was a WoW-head during orientation when we were all introducing ourselves), and I did and then showed it to her. She asked for an opinion on her own works, something I gave her, and now we're both casually exchanging papers to go over.
Thing is, I'm not even sure if she even likes me. Well, I'm sure she does. We have fairly friendly, if brief, chats after class, but I'm not sure if she likes me in that sort of way. Maybe it's just my writing she likes.
I have her e-mail address, so I was thinking of maybe hitting her up on Yahoo IM. You know, get to know her a little better.
I don't know. What do you guys think? Any advice on how I should proceed would be much appreciated.

Also, does she give you any "looks"? You know, that kind that say, "I think your cute".
There are certain things about the way she might move or talk that are a good indicater. Though, find out if she has a boyfriend if she hasn't told you already. You could casually ask "Do you have a boyfriend?" in some way. If she doesn't then you will have indicated that you are interested in her and you can judge how she might feel about you by how she reacts.
You just have to pick up on any sort of subtle hits she might give. Look for those signs.
Also, Subtle hints? What kind of subtle hints? DETAILS, MAN! DETAILS!!!
Like, do you notice a blush on her face? How does she react to these "awkward conversations"? Has she ever made a flattering comment about you of any kind, even how you write? Have you ever given her a flirty comment and she reacted well to it (Like it wasn't negative?)?
Or hell, if you feel like your confident enough, try asking her if she might want to go out or come over for dinner one night.
