You know that feeling you get when you make something work? Add that to the sensation of riding two wheels, and you have what I'm experiencing right now. So that Motorcycle I bought back on New Years Day, works. I finally got it fixed. After fighting narrowing it down to an ignition problem (no spark in the plugs). I worked through the system, finding where the problem could be. Checked grounds, checked voltage, checked spark plugs, Boots, Coil, Condenser and points. Well guess what. It was the last of that set. The points were in pretty piss poor shape and not allowing enough voltage across to charge the first winding in the coil. So 1 month and 9 days later, I get my new breaker points and install. SPARK! Woo woo! Of course by this time I've drain the poor battery of all her juice. So I need a jump. Nothing wont start. Well you need 3 things to have fire. Air, Fuel and Ignition. I had Ignition. So lets check Fuel. The gas in the tank had been sitting for awhile so lets put in some new gas. Gas in and on. Ignition go... Nothin. Well lets take a look at those carbs and check the fuel line to make sure it isn't pinched. Oh fuel line's pinched. Gas on... Oh god it's everywhere!! GAS OFF GAS OFF! Ok... why is it leaking out the front of the carb.... Oh Because some dumbass connected the fuel line to the vacuum hose for the carb. Gas in the right place, gas on, ingition.... dead battery.... Well this baby has a kick start. KICK KICK KICK KICK BRROOOM POP POP... KICK KICK KICK KICK KICK BRooom pop... Hmmm... Fuel On, CHOKE, Ignition. KICK KICK BROOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!
So for the short version. YAY!!!!! I HAVE A WORKING MOTORCYCLE!
