At least she's in kitty heaven now.

I suppose so. It was only about an hour after I sent you that long and rambling and weird note last night that she stopped breathing, but I sort of expected the worst. I'm doing that thing that everybody does, going through the past couple days and wondering if I could've been nicer or more observant, but I wouldn't be posting a journal about it if I didn't have my head on straight now.

I'm replying to your note now, so hopefully I will be able to give you more comfort than I did in this comment.

I'm very sorry to hear that. It is always hard to lose a pet, doubly so when it happens suddenly.
I never know quite what to say at times like this, so I'll just extend once more my condolences to you and your household.

It's alright, I don't usually know what to say in a situation like this either, so I guess we're even. The thought is much appreciated.
