i suppose. but i feel like those types of occasions come up normally anyway, even without holidays. like when you get your first paycheck at a new job or something, and you wanna treat a friend to a night out or buy a new pair of socks. i dunno.

if nothing else, i do like seeing the community efforts that come out of holidays. secret santa projects are pretty cool.
