Yeah, that IS just life, d00d. It was just an idea from a monk to get the locals to stop being mean to each other. Obviously that's changed over the centuries into something completely different, and that's why people tend to think like you do now. The annual "buy their attention" day thing is one of the world's biggest lies. People must love each other all the time.

Anyways, girlfriends and boyfriends come and go (your decision or theirs), and then one day - you find "the One". And that young lady will know the same wonderful thing. Trust me, you don't have to go out of your way to just be happy, or to find a date. "Love" doesn't happen like Hollywood preaches... it's waaay more exciting.
