To be blunt, it's not a good game. For the $20 I paid for it? I'm content. I wish the developer, Notch, would do something more with it. He's a millionaire from it, but he's just letting it sit there. He should open-source it, since it's far too limited for Administrative powers.
Either way, single player was fun, but multiplayer was too vulnerable to anyone who decided to grief to be enjoyable. You were always worried someone was going to take something, and there's really no way to stop people since everything was breakable and the nameplates made people's stashes easy to trace if someone was down there.
Is it a good game? No. Is it coded well? No. Is the developer paying any attention to it? No. Would I recommend buying it? Only if you want it for singleplayer.
But yeah, I leave with half-and-half feelings about it. I got what I paid for, and that's that. ^^

Sounds like a game I might try, but I'd borrow it from a friend for the weekend. No sense in wasting money on it.

It's only available for download, so you'd probably have to nab his account. XP

Everyone I know used to love it and now really hate it. Click-to-move style games are always crappy. x.x

Ehh... you can create your own server and play online with friends only, and there are some creative tricks to keeping people away from your goods. Learn how to use red stone wire and an iron door, it can prove to be quiet helpful in both multilplayer and singleplayer.

I finally got into a server that isn't completely overrun with griefers and am now really enjoying it a lot more. XD

Funny someone mentions not liking another game for it's graphics... Minecraft's graphics are horrible... just sayin'. I've seen Reward try to get into it a couple of times, and even he got bored with it, and thought the graphics were bad. I mean, if the whole, 8-bit texture map over a 3d plane is your bag, then have a pixelin' good time, by all means, It gave me a headache to look at it.

Eh, I got used to the graphics pretty quickly, probably since I'm used to games with crappy texturing and low polygon counts. >.> After a while you don't even feel the migraines anymore.
