Communication is What I am lacking

Its been a good bit of time since I posted a journal or communicated with everyone in the fur world. I came to understand that communication is what I am lacking in allot of areas in my life between friends, family, co workers and clients. Found this realization during Army Officer Candidate School. One of the candidates in an e-mail stated that I have not been on the ball in my responsibilities as Acting Admin Officer. Reason during that time I had my head wrapped around trying to set up my portfolio website in Wordpress, which was a nightmare to figure out PHP. From there I was the only to have a failure on my leadership evaluation, reason: I did not communicate with the staff and other candidates between drill. I do not disagree with this.
My communication skills are lacking for the reason of: I don't know how to do time management well and I do not have tolerance of patience on task. I so use to trying to get things done on the fast task that I end up doing jobs half ass so to say. With my artwork, animation, website design and communication. I need to take time on task and doing them well and I will get more reward from them.
This year one of my goals was to be more connected with people, and talk to people. They only way I am going to have people talk to me is I need to talk to them. (Smacks head) Dumb-ass! That requires me to have time management to make an effort to send out an e-mail or a phone call to people. This is such a big thing to me I am missing out on making good connections and relationships.
There are girls on these site who's art I admire and I have a crush on. They are not going to know that unless I make an effort to talk to them more on a regular bases to get to know them. I think that where I failed to make good friends in college and at events. I gotta be a good at hearing others, because everyone likes tot talk about themselves and have patience.
I need to balance it all out between learning new things to improve my portfolio and improving my network of friends. Others are not going to read my mind knowing that I want to talk to them. I gotta go out make a good balance effort!!
