INCOMING MESSAGE FROM THE BIG GIANT HEAD
You ever notice how the more you read something that you've written over and over; the more crappy it becomes?
No?
Must just be me then.

Depends on how many times I go back and edit it, or how inspired I felt when I was writing it. Some things I don't like, and some things I am happy with. Stephen King wrote (in his book on writing) that he finishes a full draft of a book and then leaves it alone for six months before he rereads it, and I think that's a good practice to have.

Oh god, it's why I can never get past a hundred pages. After a flurry of writing, I take a break and come back...only to be ashamed at the garbage I wrote.

Yeah.. I've done that quite a few times.

The older my work tends to be, the more I shake my head and say, "What was I thinking?"

Lol, yeah all the time. Not sure why, but I guess that's part of being a perfectionist.

This happens all the time. I'm working on three separate novels right now, and whenever I stop working on one for a while and go back to it I'm always like...WHAT IS THIS SHIT??? Pretty much like that. That's why you should have a beta reader, who thinks your stuff is awesome.
