The Dragon Age II demo is an Epic Lol!

This is just a generic "This game is awesome, here's why" journal, please ignore it if you want~
Dragon Age II is, the...uh...Samequl game of Dragon Age Origins? It's hard to describe since it takes place during the same time as Dragon Age Origins, but who cares about the story, let's talk about the game!
In Dragon Age II, you play as "Insert First name Here" Hawke, s/he is a human "Insert Class here" from a quaint little town, that is promptly destoryed by "The Blight", that's all i'm telling you for right now. As you may have noticed, your character isn't your own like in Origins, instead, their going the Mass Effect route by making the character have his own story, and you just tell him/her what to say, kind of a step back if you ask me, since their just doing it to give Hawke Voice acting >..>
The character creation though is...Not here, the demo locks your look, though atleast you can try out the classes, which is where I talk about the gameplay! I only played the Rogue in the Demo, though I did go through it twice, once as an Archery Rogue and again as a Dual Wield rogue! (Both of which are now Unique to Rogues, no more doing EVERY weapon tree as a Warrior again!) The first thing I noticed about Rogues is their kills are less subtle then Fireball flinging mages, mostly because EVERY SKILL MADE ENEMIES EXPLODE INTO A FOUNTAIN OF BLOOD! Didn't matter if I was shooting an arrow or back stabing someone, low ranked enemies flat out exploded on a single skill hit, Normal enemies would if killed with a skill though, so atleast not EVERYTHING explodes the moment the rogue touches it.
The main difference between DAII and DAO in the combat is, DAII is a LOT more fast paced, which is weird considering their systems are, fundamentally, exactly the same, you can pause combat with space bar, activate skills with the hot bar, switch between who you control mid fight, all of it's the same controls, but the game has a LOT faster feel to it, since characters aren't limited to "Run up and slash" or "Fling magic bolts", Dual Wielding Rogues are doing huge jumping stabs, cart wheel kicking people just out of their range and teleporting behind people to stab them in the back, while Mages and Archers will actually use a Melee Attack if someone gets in their face (Mages Staves all have an element, the demo had a fire staff on the Mage Chick and Archers will stab people with arrows), and Characters actually look kinda stylish fighting, since they don't just stand there, their spining around, doing cool flourishes and rolls, and it almost looks like an Action game, not an RPG, and needless to say, it's awesome.
From what I saw of Hawkes "Personality", He has 6, 2 Light, 2 Neutral, 2 Dark, when your given a conversation wheel, you usually get 1 from each personality, the Light ones are usually "Peaceful" or "Good", the neutral are "Joker" and "Jerk ass", Dark are "Evil" and "Hard Ass", each shown before you pick it by a certain icon in the "Chat Wheel" (The same one they use for Mass Effect")
Finally, the Lol worthy parts, Maybe since it's just a demo thing, but that "Enemies explode" thing wasn't a joke, I backstabed an enemy so hard, it made his torso explode and sent his body parts and head in every direction with a tasteful blood explosion. My Archer's first skill (Which just shoots an arrow to pin an enemy down) Made an Enemies Torso half explode, half disintigrate, his arms and head went flying back, but his feet remained rooted to the ground...that was incredibly funny, even after the 5th time. But the crowning moment of LOL for me was when Isabelle the Pirate Queen / Sex crazed Bisexual knocked an assailent out by grabing his head and slaming his face into her boob...maybe she hit him over the back of his head, but he clearly slamed into her right breast on his way down, and she didn't even blink (Maybe since she was still fending off like 5 other assailents at once).
All in all, I loved the demo, I would say something like "I'm gonna preorder this game right now!", but one of my really dear friends pre-ordered it for me as a gift (THANK YOU!), so...I'm gonna like...play that...SO MUCH when it comes out, MARCH 8TH (11th if your in Europe). Sorry if you think I wasted your time with this silly journal, not really though, it was your own fault for not reading that top part~
