He has his points, by the time you put something onto the net you got to know people WILL use it, and maybe alter it or even put it out under their name. This is ofcourse wrong, but not picking on this point now.

I saw the thread, and I compared the "originals" to each other, true they are the same. But who´s framing who here? You guys say he did, but what if its vice versa? Again, not blaming anyone here.

Best would be to avoid stuff like that to create some sort of unchangable timestamp for the MP3, so you can compare them. But heh... :/

Unfortunately Talisman there is no clear cut answer to this. In the grey area of free Internet uploads, downloads, and file sharing there is no way to tell who is ripping off who, or even why. It could be either party ripping off the other, and without solid proof, (and on the Internet that is not only nearly impossible, but quite disputable,) there is no way to prove who is right, and who is wrong.

It's not my intention to have mediadragon unwatched, or to have his submissions unfaved. However, it's not right when other people's work is plagarized. Before posting anything, or making any accusations, I did make sure to check the submission dates for the songs in question and contact their respective "owners". In each, the newgrounds files are older and thier "owners" have each verified that the songs are their own works. If they were plagarizing mediadragon, wouldn't they have more of his works in their galleries? I listened through every song they've posted and there are no further matches to mediadragon's gallery in their own. You can have a look yourself, if you like. With the .mp3 format accepted by this website, plagarizing works would be really easy to do. When you submit a work, it's based on the honour system that you made it yourself.

Besides, in past experiences with my freind, I just showed the owners of Newgrounds proof that my freind was the original maker of the music, and they denounced the frauders, took the songs off of Newgrounds and allowed my freind to post the music under his own name, instead. It was funny!

But still, don't let a few ass holes get you down. It doesn't matter if they get a little credit for work they didn't do. As long as you remember that your true fans are the ones who recognise you as the original artist. Keep It Up!
