Broadening my Area...
Many of you might not know, but I've been learning Japanese for six months now. I consider myself a beginner when it comes to the Japanese language, but nonetheless I'm trying my best to understand it, along with the Japanese culture.
As a result, I've started posting some of my stuff on Pixiv, a Japanese art gallery site. Originally, I only made an account there for following some of the Japanese artists, but lately I find myself learning more about their language the more time I spend there. I'm hoping this will further broaden my knowledge about Japan and its culture, as well as getting to know some people from there.
If you're interested, you can check my page here.
EDIT: Looks like I'll have to do some extra work if I ever decide to post my adult stuff in there, what with the censorship in Japan and all.

FA+

I'd have to agree about the difficulty in getting the motivation to learn a new language. It's also even harder to maintain focus on learning it, especially for beginners. Thankfully, I have a great Japanese teacher (who's actually Chinese, go figure) who's been very nice to teach a struggling student like me. :3
And i know what you mean as pixiv being a whole new community, i tried to navigate a little bit with a translator but that didn't work >.<
<3 you Vyt :3
But yeah, I will tell you this now, then! I am not afraid to take on challenges!
anyway good luck
I wanted to learn japanese but I couldn't stand 2 weeks of it. Congratulations. :D
Also, don't worry too much about the censorship. You should probably use it when needed so your submissions don't get deleted, but you don't have to go overboard. Some of the censoring that people use is so miniscule that you don't notice it at first.
After scanning around Pixiv for quite some time, I realized they're not really strict about the censorship: I noticed that only stuff that are commercially distributed are the ones getting the censorship, but free materials remain unscathed. Hopefully that means I won't have to censor my stuff.
In case I miss your watch, what would your name be in there? I'll try to add you as well.
I use the same username there. You don't really need to add me unless you want to, since I'll never submit anything. But if you want to find more artists to watch, I've got quite a few who I follow.
When in doubt, use mosaic to cover these in a broader area. 8px mosaic should be sufficient but some people use more, and some places (like DLSite) actually require very large mosaics to avoid running afoul of the law. As a foreigner, you'll probably be given an incredible amount of leeway, because you'r enot expected to understand the censorship law
MUST I PLAY AROUND?!
But yeah, thanks.
