Yeah? Right now, there are over 600 (I didn't have the energy to scroll through the list further) people in SL named Ten. I can almost guarantee that at least some of them are genuine artists too. The odds that there is another artist named Ten in there are better than it being someone pretending to be -this- Ten. Just saying.

The dudes name on the place was "Ten" and in his profile he said he was an artist and junk.

Oh wow, I actually remember this guy. He even wore a golden/yellow husky avatar and said he was and artist. For a moment I thought it was you. I'll probably seen him around somewhere on SL.

As several people have already stated, there's another guy that seems to be like you (or trying to be you).
This was awhile ago for me, but I never thought much of it.

There is a new thing called Display Names.

You can effectively set the name people see to be whatever you want once a week, but the name the system sees you as, or the name people like me, who have these names off see you as, is your registered name (I turn them off because most people have really fucking stupid display names).

The best thing to do is inform everyone that you do not have an account, and therefore any one claiming to be you, is not you.

The guy's name is Ten Ludd on Second Life. There's a resemblance, but there's nothing in his profile claiming to be an artist or anything like that. Nor have I ever seen him make such a claim. I don't really know him or anything, though, just seen him around.

There's another Ahundred too. When your name's a number like us you occasionally meet someone else who thought it was a cool enough number to use as a name.

Just because someone uses the same name (more so if you have a common word or number as a name) on SL doesn mean they are pretending to be you unless you actually go around claiming to be you.

I can second this - I know Ten Ludd personally in SL. Never, ever has he made ANY claims to be you, at all. He has to pretty much always state he ISN'T you, even!

Sorry dude but just like the "other" ten said, he had the name before you. I used to chat him on furnet back on 04 and have logs to prove it, and on SL he definetly doesn't claim to be you - in fact it's quite the opposite.

Those reports have either been on the spot the moment they've saw him, or then they're just talking bullshit.
