So....how many T-virus zombies does it take to cause the end of the world?
Deathsia: Oh wow... your merging worlds! that's great FFXI that means i'll be able to party with more people.

So ya...SE announced it was merging it's servers(aka worlds) just recently...to the average player they are clueless..but for someone who has seen many MMO's come and go it's a RED LETTER and it tells me FFXI is dying....this sucks.. or to quote Bart Simpson
"I didn't think it was physically possible but this both sucks and blows."
FFXI is my top favorite MMO of all time but i noticed myself the player base has dropped dramatically...i hoped i would never see this day come...;_;

i would play if i had the copy of the game and such but sadly im too busy playing other games idk why as im a pretty huge FF fan.

ya..they raised the lvl cap...and introduced the knife which they stabbed into the game's heart...erm....i mean they introduced abynessa..with a few zones that basically are duplicates of their original zones with a different color scheme..in there people stay half the time..they don't party in normal zones anymore..most players who are new to the game log in for the first time and go"where are the parties?!" as they play on..then up and quit because they can't level....so what did SE do? they dug the knife deeper in the game and twisted it...erm...i mean they introduced a new exp system for non-abby areas...so now players just lvl to 30 THEN go in abby and never come out.....but for players like me who want to EARN their lvls and not have them handed to them on a silver platter the zones are empty...and new players have no clue wth they are doing IF they stick around past the first 30 levels and go into abby and PL to lvl 90....get this....level 90 whm in a party that level syn'd to a party iw as in....we died in less than 5 mins flat on the first mob...the whm casting banish and dia and shit but not one healing spell...after we all dead the whm goes"i didn't know i was supposed to heal..." i'm sitting here like..."no...fucking....way....." then i asked him"where the hell you level to 90? noobvile?!" and he replies"I leveled in abby,this party sucks. i'm not playing with noobs." and leaves...and i'm like"noobs.....NOOBS?! WHAT THE HELL IS HE CALLING US NOOBS FOR?! HE DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO PLAY WHM RIGHT!!!!" So in essence players become noobified retards who think only their level matters when it comes to talking about gameplay skill when they are new and go to abby no sooner they hit lvl 30...

They can't just make Downloadable things so people an at least play soley on their computers?

if it were that simple to convert an MMO into a downloadable one player version i think they would have figured it out and done over 10 MMO's ago that i've played...>.>

oh they can do it they have done it tons of times the just don't want to cause it makes them lose tons of money they get form monthly fees i mean serious there are only a few titles out there worth buying every month
