[Games] O_O Good gravy! Dreamcast returns!

Or at least, some of its games! Crazy Taxi, Sonic DX, Space Channel 5 Part 2, and SEGA Bass Fishing. Available on Steam for 9 bucks each.

I dunno about you guys, but Crazy Taxi and Sonic were some of the games that really sold me on the Dreamcast. It's great to see them being re-launched more than ten years later =D

Do not under any circumstances buy Crazy Taxi. The controls are bizarre (if you're holding the button to go into drive, you can't turn?), the shadows are wonky, the game is stuck in standard def with the options for a "wallpaper" around the video or to stretch the image, and the music... what gives?! I have NEVER heard that crappy girl band song while playing Crazy Taxi. Which I did a lot. I did not hear the stuff I was supposed to, and frankly, at 230 MB versus the ~1 GB that a Dreamcast disc could hold, I can't imagine this has as much music, in as good quality, as the original did. Certainly different, far inferior music.

Too bad I'm too much of a cheap bastard to get a Steam account and buy some games :P

Either way, the only thing that disappointed me about this re-release of the DX: Directors cut version was the lack of game gear games. Other than that I loved it, brought back so many good memories of both the original and the Gamecube re-release.

I once lived in a group home, and one of the counselors owned a Dreamcast, and it kept me occupied for hours! I had so much fun playing games on it.
I was looking at the sonic one too, but I couldn't tell if that was the sonic that I liked. I think it can be found on Game Cube too, which then means I could play it on my WII if I wanted too.
Anyway, bummer to find out it truly was a dud =(
I do hear good things about Space Channel 5 Part 2, though, and that's my favorite game in the collection. I'm super tempted by it, but I'm waiting for a stand-alone 360 arcade release because I don't want to be stuck with 3 inferior versions of games I already own.
